How to Apply?

Each hospital has a specific application system. Please read carefully and follow the instructions. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Step 1. Please fill out the MUSHVC application form

Step 2. Send your application form and other required documentation to the hospital email listed and make sure to CC us (mushvcmcgill@gmail.com) in the email. Make sure to note that you are applying through MUSHVC in the email!

Montreal General Hospital

No set deadline, French required
Volunteer program(s): Clerical, Clinics, ED, Comfort Cart, Coffee Cart, Dialysis, Meal Assistance Program
Volunteering schedule provided after interview
Please attach a copy of childhood vaccination records (for those who do not have theirs, please fill out the vaccination form)
*Note: If you have a Quebec Carnet de Vaccination or Canadian Vaccine Booklet, you are required to photocopy all vaccination records instead of filling out the attached Vaccination Form
Proof of COVID vaccination (3 doses)

Role as a recreation volunteer: coffee/tea/dessert, outings with seniors, decorations and games
Orientation: Feb 3rd @ 10:30am
Available volunteering hours: Sun-Wed between 10:30-6:30pm

St. Mary's

No deadline, French not mandatory
Do not need to fill out reference section but need 2 reference letters from someone who knows you 6+ months and is not a family member

No deadline or requirements currently specified. MNI is under the jurisdiction of GLEN site and volunteers transfer MNI once positions are available. For more information refer to the GLEN application.

How to pay the fee:

1) E-transfer $10 to mushvc@ssmu.ca

2) State your name in the message of the e-transfeer

The fee is a one-time fee that members of MUSHVC pay when they first begin volunteering. The money goes towards supporting volunteering departments at the hospitals and funding MUSHVC member events
