How to Apply?

Each hospital has a specific application system. Please read carefully and follow the instructions. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Step 1. Please fill out the MUSHVC application form

Step 2. Send your application form and other required documentation to the hospital email listed and make sure to CC us (mushvcmcgill@gmail.com) in the email. Make sure to note that you are applying through MUSHVC in the email!

Please note that there is a $5 application fee to volunteer with MUSHVC, this is used to help fund events and promotions we run throughout the year. See bottom of page for details.

Volunteering schedule provided after interview
Please attach a copy of childhood vaccination records (for those who do not have theirs, please fill out the vaccination form)
*Note: If you have a Quebec Carnet de Vaccination or Canadian Vaccine Booklet, you are required to photocopy all vaccination records instead of filling out the attached Vaccination Form

MNI Volunteer Application

MNI Vaccination Form

Volunteer Program(s): Coffee Cart, Wayfinding, Meal Assistance Program
MNI is under the jurisdiction of MGH. Thus, MNI shares the same guidelines and requirements as MGH. If interested, please refer to MGH application.

Montreal Neurological Institution

Montreal Children's Hospital

No current application deadline BUT application portal will close when maximum capacity is reached
French is required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Upload all forms via VOME Volunteer (create an account first, follow instructions carefully).
Provide proof of childhood vaccines or proof of an immunity to the following: Varicella, Pertussis, Measles Mumps and Rubella
Minimum commitment: 50 hours (~3 hours per week).
Agree to a criminal background check
Include a Letter of Motivation

How to pay the fee:

1) E-transfer $5 to mushvc@ssmu.ca

2) State your name in the message of the e-transfer

The fee is a one-time fee that members of MUSHVC pay when they first begin volunteering. The money goes towards supporting volunteering departments at the hospitals and funding MUSHVC member events
